Snow Storm USA
I am so excited that my part of the state has recieved a constant snowfall since yesterday around 3pm…that never happens! Normally we just get sleet or ice, and nobody likes that. But not this time, big fat fluffy snow landed on the ground and stuck, I can’t explain how excited I was, so of course I took a ton of pics!!! I decided to play around with some different processing tricks for these images and also tried out my new lights as well, let me know what you think!
DSBG Wedding Showcase – Rescheduled
Due to incliment weather being forcasted for this weekend, the Wedding Showcase at Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens has been rescheduled from this Sunday to Sunday, February 14, 2010, from noon to 5pm!!! I am really excited that this event will be taking place on Valentine’s Day. Below is the official notice sent out for release from Daniel Stowe informing everyone of the rescheduling.
GARDEN RESCHEDULES WEDDING SHOWCASE
BELMONT, N.C. – Due to inclement weather Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden will reschedule its annual Wedding Showcase to Sunday, Feb. 14. Brides looking for ideas are invited to come meet top-quality vendors from the surrounding region and can also enjoy a romantic Valentine’s Day at the Garden.
The rescheduled event is scheduled from noon to 5 p.m. in the Visitor Pavilion at the Garden. Opportunities to talk with Garden staff and their exclusive event partners about booking weddings at the Garden will be available. Dozens of vendors will offer the latest trends in wedding attire, recommend menus for receptions and menu sampling, propose floral arrangements, and book all your services for the big day. Incredible specials will be offered to brides that book a wedding the day of event.
The Wedding Showcase is free with general Garden admission – members free, $10 adults, $9 seniors 60+, and $5 children 4-12. For more information, please visit www.DSBG.org or call 704-829-1252.

DSBG Wedding Showcase
Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens in Belmont, NC is hosting it’s annual Wedding Showcase. The gardens will be featuring the region’s top wedding professionals, including Intimate Visions by Kristy Photography! NEW Feature: Online Album Proofing!!!
I am so excited to announce that IVK Photography has a new feature just for our wedding and portrait clients! From now on all brides and grooms can view their wedding album online, all you boudoir ladies can see your album in the privacy of your home either alone or with your sweetie, couples see their engagement guestbooks before the wedding day, moms you can now proof your children’s album from their photo session, and parents, you can see your album as well from your daughter and/or son’s wedding! And the best part, it’s password protected, just like your online image galleries!
This will make it so much easier to view your album completely and in a relaxed environment. No more worrying about scheduling a viewing session or going back and forth through email, it’s all taken care of in one convienant place! Each online wedding and portrait album is completely customized for each client and you can also comment on each album page and/or spread to help with the editing process. But wait, it gets better! On top of being password protected, being able to comment on each page, you can also share your wedding or portrait album with your family and friends via email and also on Facebook!!! How nice is it that you can now have several people viewing the same album all at the same time and not even have to be in the same room… ahhhh the power of technology! I think offering this will not only make viewing your album layout easier, but a lot more interactive in getting everyone important involved in making your album the best and most memorable part of your wedding day and portrait sessions!

Nashville Rocks My World!
I can not express how much fun I had while in Nashville. On top of being spoiled by listening to some of the most talented photographers in the world, I absolutely love this city! Everywhere we went there were bright lights and sights galore. I honestly don’t think I had my camera away from my face for longer than several minutes because there was so much to photograph, lol. It’s no wonder why they call this place Nash-Vegas…check it out for yourself…oh and your goofy photographer as well, gotta love that camera time!!!

Elizabeth & Todd Wedding Bliss – Statesville Wedding Photographer
Elizabeth and Todd had a beautiful fall wedding at First Baptist of Statesville followed by a grand reception at the Statesville Country Club. The day was filled with pink and white flowers, a gorgeous church sanctuary, a reception hall filled with lights and candles galore, and so many warm family and friends to celebrate their day! I wish these two the very best in their marraiage and many years of wedded bliss together!
Imaging USA 2010!
I am so excited to announce that IVK Photography (me!) will be attending Imaging USA this year in Nashville, Tennessee. So what exactly is Imaging? It is a international photography convention held each year featuring speakers from around the world and host more than 500 different companies ranging from album suppliers, website designers, frame companies, studio backgrounds and props, print labs, and a variety of really cool products! I will be out of the office while at the convention from Friday, January 8 – Wednesday, January 13, 2010!

Playing In The Dark with Sydney & Joe (Hickory North Carolina Wedding Photographer)
There are those special people that you meet in life that without any notice make you a believer in true love! I’d like to introduce Miss Sydney and Mr. Joe! These two have known each other since third grade! Joe said he even remembers getting upset at Sydney writing on the chalkboard because she was taking too long, lol, how incredibly sweet is that! These two have been through so much together and are so much fun to be around. Sydney is always laughing at something and Joe is such a cool laidback guy that it’s so easy to spend the evening with them and just let loose!!!
We all had a special treat at their session by capturing not only the fall color around us but also they indulged me into a night session and I got to play with my off-camera lights…I told ya I was going to play in the dark eventually (I won’t mention what happened with an alarm system going off because of us playing in the dark, lol). Well I could gush about these two all night long, but instead…onto the images of these sweet lovebirds!
